Montréal, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 — The Quebecer awning leader is celebrating his 125e anniversary. A family business of fourth generations, established in Montréal since 1895, Le Groupe Bellon Prestige conceives, stores and repairs more than 5000 custom awnings and shelters each year.
It’s by acquiring and merging enterprises that Carole Bellon allowed the company to grow and to develop new products for the markets.
As a true leader in the custom awning industry, the enterprise has evolved by investing in high-end equipment while keeping what makes its charm, its human scale.

Still present in Montréal landscape, even during the pandemic
During the last 125 years, Le Groupe Bellon Prestige has built custom awnings and winter shelters for thousands of Quebecers in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
The organization has greatly contributed to Montréal’s history. On one hand, in 1939, during King George VI’s visit, many traders asked the Bellon family for a custom awning to give cachet to their boutique.
On the other hand, the Quebec flagship of the awning won the majority of tenders for the Expo67 and Montreal Olympic Games, which grew the revenue.
Finally, in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, which paralyzed the province, the company was called to produce vinyl canvas to help government authorities to provide the population safe places to screen for the disease.
